How to install an Aluminum Fence:

 Tools Needed:

  • Screwdriver
  • Stakes & String
  • Post Hole Digger
  • Shovel
  • Post Level
  • Measuring Tape
  • Rubber Mallet

Before you to any work on your new aluminum fence be sure to call (811). Call the North America One Call Referral Service at 1-888-258-0808 (or just dial 811). They will come out for FREE and mark all the areas with buried utilities.

To plan your aluminum fence:

1. Stake out your fence line from the whole thing from beginning to end including gates. Tie a string between post locations to define the line along which the posts will be placed.

2. Remember to take any aluminum gates or openings into account.

Drive the standard post caps onto the posts using a rubber mallet before setting the posts in concrete. This will prevent the posts from being knocked out of alignment after the concrete has been poured.

All screws in the fence sections and the posts should be installed on the same side (normally the inside) of the enclosed area for a neater appearance when you are done.

After you dig your holes pour a half of a bag of cement into the hole dry, and use a hose to wet the cement. This will make it so that you do not get your posts with wet cement.

Set your post into the ground and make sure they are level. Then slide your aluminum fence sections into the posts and screw in place. Rinse and repeat.
